Turn off the PS4 completely
Unplug the power cord from the PS4
Wait 30 seconds
Plug the power cord back in
Connect the DualShock 4 controller with a USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller
Select Restart PS4 if available
If Restart PS4 does not work, select Change Resolution
If needed, select Update System Software
If needed, select Rebuild Database
If needed, select Initialize PS4
If the PS4 still stays in Safe Mode, check the HDMI cable and power connection
If the issue continues, contact PlayStation Support
