Unplug the light string
Identify the burned-out bulb
Check the bulb type and voltage
Remove the old bulb gently
Insert the replacement bulb firmly
Make sure the bulb is seated properly
Plug the string back in to test
Replace any damaged fuse if needed
Repeat for any other failed bulbs
Dispose of broken bulbs safely
