Wash your hands thoroughly
Stand in front of a mirror with good lighting
Hold the flat back disc on the inside of your nose
Grip the front decorative end with your other hand
Unscrew the front piece if it is threaded
Pull the front piece straight out if it is a push-pin style
Gently slide the post out of the piercing
If it feels stuck, stop and do not force it
Clean the area after removal
Seek help from a professional piercer if you cannot remove it safely
