Measure and mark the tile where you need to cut
Put on safety glasses and gloves
Place the tile on the cutter with the marked line aligned to the cutting guide
Adjust the fence or guide if your cutter has one
Score the tile once with firm, even pressure
Do not score the tile multiple times
Position the breaker foot over the scored line
Press down firmly to snap the tile along the score
Check the cut edge for accuracy
Use tile nippers or a rubbing stone to smooth rough edges if needed
Clean the cutter after use
Keep fingers clear of the cutting line and breaker foot
