How To Cook Brown Rice On Stove?

Rinse 1 cup brown rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear

Add the rice to a saucepan with 2 to 2 1/2 cups water and a pinch of salt

Bring to a boil over medium-high heat

Reduce heat to low and cover with a tight-fitting lid

Simmer for 40 to 50 minutes, until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender

Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 10 minutes

Fluff with a fork before serving
