Wash the area around the headlights with soap and water
Dry completely
Mask off the surrounding paint with painter’s tape
Test a small spot with the cleaner to ensure it won’t damage the finish
Wet sand with 800-grit sandpaper (light, even pressure)
Continue sanding with 1000-grit, keeping the surface evenly wet
Continue sanding with 1500-grit, keeping the surface evenly wet
Optionally finish with 2000–3000-grit for a smoother surface
Rinse thoroughly and dry
Use a plastic polish or headlight restoration compound with a microfiber cloth or buffer
Buff until the haze is removed
Wipe away residue with a clean microfiber towel
Apply a UV sealant or clear coat specifically for headlight restoration
Let the sealant/clear coat cure per the product instructions
Remove tape and wash off any overspray
Recheck clarity and repeat polishing or sealing if needed
