Disconnect the negative battery cable
Remove the steering column covers or dashboard trim as needed
Locate the ignition switch assembly
Unplug the electrical connector from the ignition switch
Remove any retaining screws, bolts, or clips
Remove the old ignition switch
Align the new ignition switch in place
Install and tighten the retaining screws, bolts, or clips
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reinstall the steering column covers or dashboard trim
Reconnect the negative battery cable
Test the ignition switch in all positions
