Park at the gas pump with the fuel door on the correct side
Turn off the engine
Put the car in park and set the parking brake
Open the fuel door
Remove the gas cap if your car has one
Select the correct fuel grade if required
Insert the nozzle into the fuel tank opening
Squeeze the handle to start fueling
Keep the nozzle in place until it automatically stops
Stop fueling if the pump is full before auto-stop
Remove the nozzle from the tank
Replace the gas cap tightly if applicable
Close the fuel door
Pay for the fuel if needed
Drive away only after the pump area is clear
