Mix 1 part white granulated sugar with 4 parts water
Heat the water until warm, then stir in the sugar until fully dissolved
Let the mixture cool completely
Pour into a clean hummingbird feeder
Store any extra nectar in the refrigerator
Replace the nectar every 2 to 3 days in hot weather
Replace the nectar every 5 to 7 days in cooler weather
Clean the feeder regularly before refilling
Do not use honey, brown sugar, artificial sweeteners, or red dye
