Align both sides of the zipper teeth evenly
Open the zipper slider fully
Insert both zipper tape ends into the slider at the same time
Hold the zipper tapes straight and parallel
Gently pull the slider upward a small amount
If the slider slips off, remove it and reinsert the teeth carefully
Make sure the bottom stops are intact
If the bottom stops are missing, secure the ends before reattaching the slider
Test the zipper by sliding it up and down slowly
If the slider is bent or loose, pinch it slightly with pliers and try again
Replace the zipper slider if it will not stay on
Check that the teeth are not twisted before closing the zipper
