Use eggs that are 7–10 days old if possible
Bring a pot of water to a boil
Lower eggs into the boiling water gently
Boil for 10–12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs
Transfer eggs immediately to an ice bath
Leave eggs in ice water for 10–15 minutes
Crack the shell all over before peeling
Peel under running water or in a bowl of water
Start peeling from the wider end of the egg
Store peeled eggs in the refrigerator if not eating right away
