Add oil or butter to the skillet
Place shrimp in a single layer
Cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side
Flip when the shrimp turn pink and opaque on the bottom
Cook until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and curled into a loose C shape
Remove from heat immediately
Serve right away
