How To Cut Onion?

Peel off the dry outer skin

Cut off the top end

Leave the root end attached

Slice the onion in half from top to root

Place one half flat-side down on the cutting board

Make vertical cuts toward the root, without cutting through it

Make horizontal cuts if needed for smaller pieces

Slice crosswise to dice the onion

Repeat with the other half

Keep the root end intact until the end for easier handling
