Locate the reset pinhole on the back or bottom of the Xfinity router
Keep the router powered on
Insert a paperclip or pin into the reset pinhole
Press and hold the reset button for about 10 to 15 seconds
Release the button when the lights start blinking or the router restarts
Wait several minutes for the router to fully reboot
Reconnect using the default WiFi name and password on the router label
Log in to the Xfinity app or gateway admin page if you need to reconfigure settings
