File the shiny top coat gently with a nail file
Soak cotton balls in acetone
Place the soaked cotton on each nail
Wrap each fingertip with aluminum foil or use nail clips
Wait 10 to 15 minutes
Check if the polish is lifting
Gently push off the softened gel with a cuticle pusher or orange stick
Rewrap and soak again if needed
Buff away any remaining residue lightly
Wash your hands
Apply cuticle oil and hand cream
