Select fabric for the quilt top, backing, and binding
Wash, dry, and press the fabric
Cut the fabric into the required shapes and sizes
Arrange the pieces into the desired layout
Sew the pieces together into rows or blocks
Join the rows or blocks to complete the quilt top
Layer the backing fabric, batting, and quilt top
Pin, baste, or spray-baste the layers together
Quilt through all layers by hand or machine
Trim the edges evenly
Sew the binding strips together
Attach the binding to the quilt edges
Fold the binding over and secure it
Finish by pressing the quilt and checking for loose threads
