Turn on the PS4
Connect the controller to the PS4 using a USB cable
Press the PS button on the controller
Wait for the light bar to turn on
Unplug the USB cable if you want to use it wirelessly
If pairing wirelessly, go to Settings
Select Devices
Select Bluetooth Devices
Put the controller in pairing mode by holding the PS button and Share button until the light bar flashes
Select the controller on the PS4 screen
Press X to confirm pairing
