Open ChromeOS Settings
Click Device
Click Keyboard and input
Look for Touchscreen
Turn off the touchscreen option if available
If no touchscreen toggle appears, use a ChromeOS keyboard shortcut or developer method only if supported by your model
Restart the Chromebook after changing the setting
To re-enable touch, return to the same setting and turn it back on
