Boil water in a large pot
Add salt to the water
Cook pasta until al dente
Reserve some pasta water
Drain the pasta
Add pesto to a large bowl or pan
Add the hot pasta to the pesto
Toss to coat evenly
Add reserved pasta water as needed
Serve immediately
