Tap the egg gently on a hard surface to crack the shell all over
Roll the egg lightly to loosen the shell
Start peeling at the wider end where the air pocket is usually located
Lift the shell with your thumb and peel under cool running water if needed
Remove any remaining shell fragments
Pat the peeled egg dry with a paper towel
