Use the correct screwdriver or bit
Apply firm downward pressure
Turn counterclockwise
Add penetrating oil if stuck
Let the oil soak
Tap the screw head lightly
Use a rubber band for stripped heads
Use locking pliers if the head is exposed
Cut a new slot with a rotary tool if needed
Use a screw extractor for damaged screws
Drill out the screw if extraction fails
Replace the screw after removal
