Open the folder or app containing the photos
Click the first photo
Hold Shift and click the last photo to select a range
Hold Command and click individual photos to select multiple separate photos
Drag a selection box over the photos to select several at once
In Finder, press Command + A to select all photos in the folder
In Photos app, hold Command while clicking each photo you want to select
