Locate the Learn/Program button on the Genie garage door opener motor unit
Press and release the Learn/Program button
Within 30 seconds, press and hold the button on the remote you want to sync
Release the remote button when the opener light blinks or the door moves
Test the remote to confirm the opener responds
If needed, repeat the process for additional remotes
For a keypad, press the Learn/Program button on the opener
Enter your PIN on the keypad and press the Up/Down or Send button
Release when the opener light blinks or the door moves
Test the keypad to confirm it works
If the remote does not sync, replace the remote battery and try again
If the opener has a rolling code system, repeat the learn process exactly as required
If the opener still does not sync, clear old codes and reprogram the remote
