Unplug the garage door opener from power
Wait 30 to 60 seconds
Reconnect power to the opener
Press and hold the Learn, Reset, or Program button on the opener until the indicator light changes or turns off
Release the button
Reprogram each remote control by pressing the Learn button and then the remote button
Reprogram the keypad if your system has one
Reprogram any wall control or smart home connection if needed
Test the opener to confirm it works properly
Replace the backup battery if the opener still does not reset correctly
