Measure the width of the area in yards
Multiply the length by the width
Use the formula: square yards = length × width
If measurements are in feet, divide each by 3 first to convert to yards
If measuring a triangle, use: square yards = 0.5 × base × height
If measuring a circle, use: square yards = 3.1416 × radius × radius
