Empty the washer
Set the washer to the hottest water setting and largest load size
Add 2 cups of white vinegar to the drum
Start the wash cycle and let it run for a few minutes
Pause the cycle and let the vinegar sit for 1 hour
Resume and finish the cycle
Wipe down the lid, drum, agitator, and detergent dispenser with a microfiber cloth
Run another hot cycle with 1 cup of baking soda added to the drum
Wipe the inside dry after the cycle ends
Clean the detergent dispenser and fabric softener compartment separately
Remove and wash any removable lint filters or bleach cups
Leave the lid open to air dry
Repeat monthly
