Run a printer head cleaning cycle from the printer’s maintenance/settings menu
Print a nozzle check/test page to confirm the issue
Repeat cleaning if streaks remain, then re-run the nozzle check
Perform a deeper/“power cleaning” cycle if available in the maintenance menu
Replace low or empty ink/toner cartridges
Reseat cartridges: remove, wipe contacts gently, reinstall firmly
Use the correct cartridge for your printer model and ensure proper installation
Print a few test pages to help stabilize ink flow after cartridge replacement
Clean the printhead (if your printer supports manual cleaning) using manufacturer-approved methods
Clean the cartridge contacts and printer carriage contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth (or manufacturer-recommended cleaner)
Check and clean the paper path/rollers if your printer supports it
Ensure paper is loaded correctly and matches the printer’s supported type and weight
Use fresh, dry paper stored away from humidity
Remove and reinsert the paper tray, then verify guides are snug
Update or reinstall printer drivers/software on your computer
Check printer settings for the correct paper type and print quality (try a higher quality mode)
If using Wi‑Fi/driver software, confirm you’re not using a draft/low-quality preset
For laser printers: clean the transfer belt/roller area if the printer has maintenance access
For laser printers: replace the toner cartridge, and if needed, the drum/photoconductor (if separate)
Check for damaged or worn rollers and replace if streaks persist
If streaks continue after all steps, service/replace the printhead (or contact support)
