Harvest lavender when most flower buds are just opening
Cut in the morning after dew has dried
Use clean, sharp shears or scissors
Cut stems above the woody part of the plant
Leave some green growth on each stem
Gather stems into small bundles
Remove damaged or discolored stems
Hang bundles upside down in a dry, dark, well-ventilated place
Store dried lavender in airtight containers
Harvest regularly to encourage new growth
