How To Make Basil Pesto?

2 cups fresh basil leaves, packed

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/3 cup pine nuts

2 cloves garlic

1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Add basil, Parmesan, pine nuts, garlic, salt, and pepper to a food processor

Pulse until coarsely chopped

With the processor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil

Process until smooth or desired texture is reached

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed

Use immediately or store in an airtight container

Cover the surface with a thin layer of olive oil before refrigerating
