Heat 1 cup milk or plant-based milk in a small saucepan
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Add 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Add 1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
Add a pinch of black pepper
Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup, if desired
Add 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil or ghee, if desired
Whisk well until combined
Warm over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes
Do not let it boil
Pour into a mug
Serve warm
