Pray two rakâahs of voluntary prayer
After completing the prayer, recite the Istikhara dua
Mention the specific matter in your heart while making the dua
Ask Allah to guide you to what is best
If your heart becomes open and the matter becomes easy, proceed
If the matter becomes difficult or blocked, leave it and trust Allah
