Let the pumpkin cool
Scoop out the flesh
Blend or mash the flesh until smooth
Measure the pumpkin puree
Preheat the oven to 425°F
Prepare a pie crust in a pie dish
Mix pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, eggs, and evaporated milk
Pour the filling into the crust
Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes
Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F
Bake until the center is set
Cool the pie completely
Chill before serving
