How To Replace A Kitchen Sink?

Turn off the water supply to the sink

Disconnect the supply lines from the faucet

Place a bucket under the drain pipes

Disconnect the drain trap and any connected plumbing

Remove the sink clips or mounting hardware

Cut through any caulk or sealant around the sink edge

Lift the old sink out of the countertop

Clean the countertop opening thoroughly

Check that the new sink fits the opening

Apply plumber’s putty or sealant as required

Set the new sink into place

Secure the sink with clips or mounting hardware

Reconnect the faucet supply lines

Reconnect the drain pipes and trap

Apply caulk around the sink edge if needed

Turn the water supply back on

Check for leaks at all connections

Tighten any fittings if necessary
