Turn on the device you want to control
Insert fresh batteries into the RCA universal remote
Press and hold the device button you want to program
While holding the device button, press and hold the Power button
Release both buttons when the indicator light stays on
Enter the correct code for your device using the number buttons
Wait for the indicator light to turn off
Test the remote with the device
If it does not work, repeat the steps with another code
If no code works, use the auto code search method
Press and hold the device button and Power button again
Release when the indicator light stays on
Press the Play or Channel Up button repeatedly until the device turns off
Press Enter or OK to save the code
Test all major functions of the remote
Repeat for each device you want to program
