Use plain, fragrance-free laundry detergent
Practice safe sex and use condoms if irritation may be related to sexual activity
Treat yeast infections, bacterial vaginosis, or STIs only with appropriate medical care
See a healthcare professional if itching lasts more than a few days, keeps coming back, or is severe
Seek medical care right away if you have unusual discharge, bad odor, pain, sores, bleeding, fever, or burning with urination
