How To Bake Pork Chops?

Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C)

Pat pork chops dry with paper towels

Season both sides with salt and pepper

Optional: rub with garlic powder, paprika, and/or dried thyme

Place pork chops on a baking sheet or in a baking dish with a little oil or cooking spray

Optional: add sliced onions or a splash of broth to the pan

Bake until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C)

Typical bake times: 18–25 minutes for 1-inch chops; 25–35 minutes for 1.25-inch chops

Remove from oven and rest 3–5 minutes before serving

Optional: broil 1–3 minutes at the end for extra browning
