Open the Settings app on your iPhone
Tap Messages
Turn on iMessage
Tap Send & Receive
Select the Apple ID to use for iMessage
Ensure your phone number and email addresses are checked under “You can receive iMessage to and reply from”
If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID
Make sure Date & Time are set correctly: Settings > General > Date & Time > Set Automatically
Confirm iPhone has an active internet connection (Wi‑Fi or cellular)
If iMessage still won’t activate, restart your iPhone and try again
If needed, verify Apple ID settings: Settings > Apple ID (your name) > Sign-In & Security
Check iMessage activation status: Settings > Messages > iMessage (ensure it shows as active)
