How To Sew On Quilt Labels?

Write or print the label information on fabric-safe material

Cut the label to the desired size with a small seam allowance if needed

Fold under the raw edges if using a fabric label

Press the label flat with an iron

Position the label on the quilt back in a corner or other chosen spot

Pin or baste the label in place

Thread a needle with matching or coordinating thread

Use a small hand stitch such as a slip stitch or whipstitch around the edges

Keep stitches small and secure

Stitch all the way around the label

Knot the thread securely and hide the knot between layers if possible

Trim any loose threads

Check that the label is firmly attached before use or washing
