Restart or power on the computer
Immediately press and repeatedly tap the BIOS key during startup (commonly: F2, F10, Del, Esc)
If prompted, select BIOS Setup using the on-screen menu
On some systems, press the BIOS key while the logo screen appears; if you miss the window, restart and try again
For Windows PCs: open Settings → Update & Security → Recovery → Advanced startup → Restart now → Troubleshoot → Advanced options → UEFI Firmware Settings → Restart
For some laptops: use the dedicated BIOS/Setup button or key combination (varies by brand)
If you can’t find the key, check the manufacturer’s website or the startup screen message (often “Press F2 for Setup”)
After entering BIOS, use the on-screen instructions to navigate and save changes (if needed) using the listed “Save & Exit” option
