How To Patch A Tire?

Park on a flat surface and secure the vehicle

Loosen the lug nuts slightly before lifting the vehicle

Jack up the vehicle and remove the wheel

Inspect the tire for the puncture

Remove the object causing the leak if present

Mark the puncture location

Deflate the tire completely

Use a reamer to clean and roughen the puncture hole

Insert a plug or patch according to the repair kit instructions

Trim any excess plug material if needed

Reinflate the tire to the recommended pressure

Check for leaks with soapy water

Reinstall the wheel

Tighten the lug nuts in a star pattern

Lower the vehicle and fully tighten the lug nuts

Recheck tire pressure after a short drive
