Preheat the oven to 425°F
Trim the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half
Pat the Brussels sprouts completely dry
Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper
Add garlic powder or paprika if desired
Place them cut-side down on a baking sheet
Do not overcrowd the pan
Roast for 20 to 25 minutes
Flip once halfway through if needed
Roast until deeply browned and crispy
Serve immediately
