How To Sort By A Column In Excel?

Select the column you want to sort by

Click the Data tab

Choose Sort A to Z for ascending order or Sort Z to A for descending order

If prompted, choose Expand the selection to keep rows together

Click Sort

To sort by a custom column, click Sort in the Data tab

In the Sort dialog, choose the column under Sort by

Select the sort order you want

Click OK
