Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the menu (three lines)
Tap Settings and privacy
Tap Location
Turn off Location Services for Instagram
If shown, disable Location Sharing / Allow Location Sharing
Turn off Location access in your phone settings if Location Services is still enabled for Instagram
iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > Instagram > Never
Android: Settings > Apps > Instagram > Permissions > Location > Deny
