Enable the Analysis ToolPak
Go to File
Select Options
Click Add-ins
In Manage, choose Excel Add-ins
Click Go
Check Analysis ToolPak
Click OK
Prepare your data in columns
Put the dependent variable in one column
Put the independent variable(s) in adjacent columns
Include headers if desired
Go to the Data tab
Click Data Analysis
Select Regression
Click OK
Set Input Y Range for the dependent variable
Set Input X Range for the independent variable(s)
Check Labels if your ranges include headers
Choose an output location
Select New Worksheet Ply or Output Range
Optionally set Residuals, Line Fit Plots, or other options
Click OK
Review the regression output
Check R Square
Check Adjusted R Square
Check coefficients
Check p-values
Check standard error
Check ANOVA table
Interpret the intercept and slope coefficients
Use the regression equation to make predictions
Save the workbook
