Clean the mouse buttons and switch area using compressed air
Remove the mouse skates and clean around the switch edges and button seams
Unplug the mouse, then plug it back in
Try a different USB port (avoid hubs/docking stations)
Try a different computer to confirm whether the issue is hardware or software
Update mouse drivers and firmware (via the manufacturer’s software)
Disable any double-click-related settings in the OS mouse settings
Check and disable third-party mouse software/macros (e.g., remappers, macro tools)
Adjust double-click speed in OS settings to a lower value
Test with a different mouse if available to confirm the mouse is the cause
If hardware is confirmed, open the mouse and replace the failing microswitch (common fix)
After replacing the switch, reassemble carefully and test button behavior
If under warranty, request a replacement or repair from the manufacturer
