Open a crafting table
Place 4 iron ingots in the crafting grid to form a square (top-left, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-right)
Place the torch in the center slot
Take the lantern from the output slot
(Optional) If using a furnace-style recipe in your version: place an iron ingot in the top-left and top-right slots, an iron ingot in the bottom-left and bottom-right slots, and a torch in the center slot, then take the lantern from the output
