Redeem or use any remaining reward points before closure
Call HDFC Bank customer care and request card closure
Submit a written closure request if asked by the bank
Visit the nearest HDFC Bank branch with your credit card and ID proof if required
Cut the card only after the bank confirms closure
Get a closure confirmation via SMS, email, or reference number
Check your credit report later to ensure the card is marked closed
