Cut tortillas into triangles or strips
Optional: lightly brush or toss with oil
Sprinkle with salt
Bake on a single layer on a baking sheet
Bake 8–12 minutes, turning once, until crisp and lightly golden
Cool 5–10 minutes to crisp further
Optional (frying): heat oil to 350°F (175°C), fry chips in batches 1–2 minutes until golden
Drain fried chips on paper towels
Cool and store in an airtight container
