How To Wash Shoes?

Check the care label for washing instructions

Remove laces and insoles (wash separately if allowed)

Brush off dirt and debris with a dry brush

Spot-clean stains with a small amount of mild detergent and a soft cloth or brush

For canvas or fabric shoes, machine-wash if allowed: place shoes in a mesh laundry bag

Add a small amount of mild detergent to the washer

Use cold or warm water on a gentle cycle

Avoid bleach and fabric softener

Do not wash leather, suede, or shoes with heavy glue or delicate materials in a washer unless the label says it’s safe

For leather/suede, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap solution, then wipe again with a clean damp cloth

For rubber outsoles, scrub with a brush and mild detergent, then rinse with a damp cloth

Dry with paper towels or a towel inside to absorb moisture

Air-dry at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight

Remove paper/towels once damp

Reinsert fully dry insoles and re-lace shoes

Make sure shoes are completely dry before wearing
