Add coffee grounds to a mug, jar, or heat-safe container
Pour hot water over the grounds
Stir gently
Let steep for 3 to 5 minutes
Let the grounds settle for 1 to 2 minutes
Pour the coffee slowly into another cup, leaving the grounds behind
Use a spoon to hold back the grounds if needed
Add milk, sugar, or other extras if desired
